In July, male deer are rapidly growing new antlers so during this time, we celebrate the regenerative power of the Full Buck Moon and the Divine Masculine. Bucks, who instinctively know when to stand their ground or when to swiftly and gracefully leap out of difficult situations, are associated with virility, strength and the wild forest. Their antlers grow behind the eyes, so deeper perception is also part of deer medicine.

Mayans consider the deer especially sacred because its 4 legs represent the Four Directions and the balance of their elements – Fire, Earth, Air and Water.
