The Full Strawberry Moon rises June 21, the first day after the Summer Solstice. The strawberry is the first berry to ripen in Spring and was considered to be good medicine for the heart.

The Ojibwe also consider the “medicine” of strawberry to be reconciliation. It was during the Strawberry Moon cycle that communities usually held their annual feasts, welcoming everyone home, regardless of their differences over the past year. It was a time of letting go of judgment and/or self righteousness to reconcile with members of their tribe.

Grab a friend and come to the Full Strawberry Moon yoga and sound event, celebrate the Solstice, and savor the small, sweet things and moments that make life worth living. Let go of self-judgement and embrace “La Dolce Vita”, Italian for “the sweet life”. $35
