This class is designed for people who have never taken a yoga class before, had a bad experience trying out a yoga class, or are at the beginner’s level. Instruction can be modified for people who need chair yoga or who have limited mobility.
In this class students will learn the most common yoga postures, vocabulary and breathing techniques. The goal of this class is to give participants the foundational experience and confidence to attend yoga classes comfortably. This class will also give students the tools they need to increase body awareness, health, fitness and flexibility.

The instructor, Janet Montes, has worked as a special education teacher in the public school system for the past 12 years. She now uses her skills to teach yoga to people of all ages and abilities.
