SUMMARY:Empowerment Self Defense
DESCRIPTION:Empowerment Self-Defense is a holistic\, evidence-based\, trauma-informed approach in violence prevention skills. \nIndividuals learn easy-to-use techniques such as awareness\, assertiveness\, and verbal skills in combination with safety strategies and physical techniques to prevent\, resist\, and escape potentially violent situations. \nDuring this session\, we will build trust and a safe environment to explore sensitive topics as we work as a group to learn to build safety.  We will create community agreements\, have interactive experiences to build skills in physical defense\, verbal strategies and boundary setting. \nNo previous experience is needed to attend this event. \nTeddie Linder is Accredited Education Provider with ESD Global and has over 30 years of experience in martial arts.
